Generally the Safety 1st Alpha Omega is not a recommended seat. There are a few concerns with it. 1. When rear facing (especially under 22lbs) it takes up an exceedingly large amount of front to back space. 2. It is outgrown rear facing sooner than we’d like to see (at 36″ and 40lbs). We generally like seeing kids rear face as long as possible and 36″ sometimes does not allow kids to rear face to 2. 3. As a booster, it does not properly fit the belt on a child, typically the belt is both too high on the neck and often too low on the shoulder. We usually recommend that families get a deticated booster once children are ready for this stage.
